1.What is Vastushastra?
Answer :VASTUSHASTRA is an ancient Hindu practice to construct buildings in harmony with natural forces for well being of humanity as a whole. It is now being given a lot of importance these days. Vastu has shown great benefits to the people who have followed it. Mere demolition and changes are not sufficient to follow Vastu but proper balancing of energy is also needed.

Answer : The object of Vastu is to provide proper arrangement and placement of different areas in the premises i.e. where should be kitchen, toilet, bedroom, main gate etc. in the house.
3.Why one should apply Vastushastra?
Answer : Vastu is based on science and with proper arrangements it ensures the balance of energy. Balanced energy gives better growth, peace of mind and all-round development.
4.Does Vastushastra bring prosperity?

5.Whether Vastushastra is linked to any religion?
Answer :Though the concept initiated from Hindus, it is applicable to all. Vastu is based on pure science and the rules are equal to all. Sun, earth, moon and planets have impact on all the people on this world. Nature doesn’t distinguish people. Vastu is also the study related to nature and its scientific effects. So, it cannot be restricted to any particular caste or religion. Different religion has their own rules of worshipping but Vastu is not related to worship or mythology. So, this law is applicable to all.

7.Which is the ideal plot?
Answer : Any plot which is square or rectangle in shape is best. Besides shape, angle of the plot corners should be 90 degrees. Ratio of length: breadth should not be more than 1:2. For proper guidance, see our link Vastu for plot.
8.How one can determine direction of his plot?
Answer :Direction of a plot can be determined by any of the two modern simple methods by using a compass, the device for finding direction which has a freely moving needle which always points to the magnetic North. Draw two lines crossing each other dividing a paper in four equal parts at 90-degree angle. Place a compass on paper in the middle of your plot and align it with two lines in the North and the South of the needle of the compass. Extend these lines on the plot and mark it to have exact direction. Otherwise, you may stand facing the direction of sunrise. This is East and backside is West. Left side is North and Right side is South. But this method will give you rough.

12.Whether Location of study room has any effect on Vastushastra?Answer : Yes, location of study room has great effect. It should be in Northeast direction for better concentration and memory. Color of the room should be light green as this color is good for mind.
13.Whether there is any principle in Vastushastra regarding location of Kitchen?
Answer :Kitchen is associated with Fire and the direction for fire as per Vastu is Southeast. So kitchen should be placed in Southeast. If Southeast is not possible then second best place is Northwest.
14.Which is a good location for children room?
Answer :Children room should be in the northwest or West Side. Northwest room is better for female child only. For studies, separate room should be there in Northeast.
15.In which direction one should sleep?
Answer : Answer-Direction of the head while sleeping should be either in East or South. East is good for children and youngsters and South for middle aged to old people. West is not suggested on regular basis and North is completely prohibited.
16.Which is the best location for bedrooms?
Answer :The Southwest portion of the house is meant for bedroom for adults. It may be located in the South, and will be congenial for comfortable living. Master bedroom may be on the upper storey, if any, in the Southwest portion of the house. Other bedrooms may be in South, Northwest, North and West.
17.If I use Vastushastra, people may call me superstitious, fatalistic, or weak. Is this accurate?
Answer :No, today most of the people know about Vastu and its reality. It is purely based on science and following it cannot make anyone superstitious or weak. If you have any health problem and you go to doctor then does it mean you are weak or afraid?

19.Which side one should face while praying to the God?
Answer : Facing East gives peace of mind and facing North gives wealth and prosperity. So, you may face either side.

Answer : Ancestors photograph should be placed on Southern wall facing North.
21.Which side cook should face while cooking?
Answer :Face should be in East while cooking. If East is not possible at all, then face may be kept in North but never in South.
22.Which direction young couple should keep their head?
Answer :They should keep their head in South.
23.Which side one should not have their head?
Answer : North.
24.Which side garden is advised?
Answer :In Northeast, East or North area.
25.Which side car parking is advised?
Answer :In Northwest or Southeast area.
26.Which side servant quarter is advised?
Answer :Southeast or Northwest.
27.Why North East corner of the house is so auspicious? Why should we keep it open?
Answer : Due to the tilt of the earth (22½°) North East corner of a structure receives energy. During early morning when the sun is at its maximum distance from the earth, only infrared rays are able to reach the earth, which are beneficial for the human body. Hence Northeast portion of the house should be such that it should receive beneficial infrared rays.
28.Are all houses situated in front of a T-junctions are bad and why?Answer : Generally, sites in front of T-junctions are very bad as it receives the crossed negative energy. But in few cases T-junction sites can be ok. Medicine shop, Doctor Chamber, Lawyer, Sweets Shops, CA, CS etc. may be allowed there. Houses facing East or North have least effect if they are in front of T-Junction.
29.Why North is considered to be best direction for facing while studying or working?
Answer :Flow of Earth energy is from North Axis to South Axis. SO facing North gives lots of energy directly and charges the person. This results in better memory power and working ability.
30.Can Vastu defect can be corrected by performing pooja, yogas etc.?
Answer :Vastu is based on science and Puja can only bring peace of mind for some period. Vastu defects can only be rectified either by construction as per Vastu or Virtual Corrections.
31.What are the factors on which Vastu is based?
Answer : Vastu is a combination to Bio energy force, gravitational force, magnetic field of earth, solar energy, velocity of wind and cosmic radiation’s.
